WBI is focused on the products cashew and jatropha in Burkina Faso.

The joint venture Anatrans S.A.R.L.  is set up in 2008 together with the Burkinabé investment company Anasastasis S.A. Anatrans us cashew processing unit located in Bobo-Dioulasso, the second largest city of Burkina Faso. The unit has the capacity to process 3.500 MTon of Raw Cashew Nuts into 700 MTon of cashew nut kernels.

This company is set up to counter the trend of exports of raw cashew nuts to Asia, without any local value addition. At current the factory employs approx 700 employees, which next to a decent salary get a free meal at the factory, free use of health care centre and insurances. More than 3.500 producers are touched by the project, by off take of their product or trainings.
Next to this project also the joint venture Genèse S.A.R.L. is set up together with Anastasis S.A. in 2008. The main objective is to provide a regular source of income to smallholder farmers by promoting the development of selected cash crops (cashew nuts, jatropha, shea nuts) through outgrower programmes.

Genèse also started up a project on providing energy to eight villages in the region Hauts Bassis and Cascades, by the production of biofuel out of jatropha seeds. This project is subsidized by the Dutch Daey Ouwens Fonds, part of Agentschap NL.
