Cashew nut kernels processed in Burkina Faso
ANATRANS is a Burkinabé company which is processing Raw Cashew Nuts to Cashew Nut kernels. The factory, located in Bobo-Dioulasso (the road exit of Bama), has a capacity to process 3.500 MTon of Raw Cashew Nuts on annual basis.
The company is a joint venture between the Burkinabé company Anastasis S.A. and the Dutch companies AWAYforAfrica B.V. and White Bird International B.V. The cashew nut processing plant is built during 2009 and 2010 and officially started processing in June 2010.
ANATRANS is the largest processor of cashew nuts in Burkina Faso which is producing cashew nut kernels for the export market. All the high quality cashew nut kernels produced by Anatrans are branded through the Pride of Africa brand. Up to now the company employs approx. 500 workers, of which 85% is women.
